While at B Media, my role as a junior graphic designer involved creating advertising materials for House of The Year, spanning both online and print formats. Of course, as is customary in junior positions,
I also excelled at making a good cup of tea!
In my role as a Graphic Designer, I handled the design of NEXT and Good Health magazines. I also led the creation of digital assets such as EDMs and web banners, managed marketing and social media activities, and provided art direction for still life fashion and beauty shoots. Coordinating real-life shoots involved briefing photographers, stylists, and hair and makeup artists. Additionally, I oversaw the production and distribution of the magazines to the printers. On a daily basis, I worked closely with the Creative Director, advertising, marketing, and digital teams to align each brand's direction and design.
I created digital and print designs for Air New Zealand's in-flight magazine and home titles like "Your Home and Garden," developing all digital assets including EDMs and web banners, and managing marketing and social media.
As Art Director, I had sole responsibility for the design and art direction of Good magazine. Additionally, I played a key role in various SCG internal and custom projects, which encompassed web mockups, branding, directing photoshoots, and creating visual
content for client pitches.
Throughout my studies, I tackled multiple coding and design tasks and assignments involving languages like Python, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript. I also utilized Figma to develop reactive wireframes and mockups as part of my project planning process.
As a designer at Brave, my primary focus was managing a diverse range of client projects daily. I collaborated with brands like Dilmah Beverages and Salus Aviation, working on projects ranging from creating brand animations for social and web formats to
designing sleek packaging and digital artwork.
I have freelanced as a designer alongside my full-time work and studies, collaborating on numerous print and digital design projects with diverse clients, ranging from Dish magazine to Bayleys Real Estate.
